DOVETON stormed into the Casey Cardinia Football League grand final by defeating Cranbourne by 26 points at Berwick yesterday.
In wet, blustery conditions, the Doves were 21 points up at half-time, led by full-forward Danny Casset.
In what was physical encounter, two players from each side were sent off.
The Doves dominated the second half and to win 11.14 (80) to 7.12 (54) and will play Pakenham in this week's grand final.
Doveton president Mark Woolgar said: "It was a good hard, honest game and you would expect both sides to fly the colours with a grand final spot at stake.
''We are back on track and are fairly confident we can can knock off Pakenham. But it will be a cracker of a grand final."
Doveton seconds also made it through to the grand final.
