A BRAWL at Hallam Senior College landed two male students and a parent in hospital last Monday last week.
Police were called to the Frawley Road secondary school about 1.40pm after the second of two fights involving students.
The second fight involved the father of one of the students, who had come to pick him up from school.
A concerned parent of another student at the school who witnessed the fight contacted The Journal on Tuesday.
He said the parent was attacked by about 20 youths - "they absolutely flogged the parent".
Hallam Senior College principal Anne Martin issued a statement on Tuesday.
"I can confirm that an isolated incident occurred yesterday and am extremely disappointed that the bad behaviour of a few students has the potential to reflect badly on the good reputation of our school where the majority of our 780 students do the right thing.
"Bad behaviour is simply not tolerated at this school and we are working with the students and their families to discuss appropriate disciplinary action.
"As soon as we became aware of the incident we immediately alerted police and contacted parents."
Endeavour Hills police are taking a number of witness statements and trying to ascertain how many were involved in the fight.
Police said the incident could lead to charges of affray for those involved.
The Department of Education did not provide a response to The Journal's inquiries.
