Police seek help on parole breaker

08 Feb, 2010 08:35 AM
POLICE are hunting a serial parole breaker who is believed to be in the Dandenong area.

Matthew Hooper, 35, has a history of dishonesty and is one of the state's top 12 parole breakers.

Hooper is 185 centimetres with an olive complexion and police are hoping the release of this image will help identify him.

The release of Hooper's photograph is part of Operation ROPE (Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement), which has led to police apprehending 442 prisoners who have breached their parole conditions since its inception in June 2008.

Police are urging anyone who may know the whereabouts of Hooper to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or visit www.crimestoppers.com.au
